When should we arrive?
We suggest getting to the pool about 5 minutes before class starts so that your swimmer does not feel rushed and is more relaxed for class. On the first day, you may want to arrive a little earlier so that your child gets acquainted with their surroundings and feels comfortable before getting in the water.
What should I bring to class?
A comfortable bathing suit, a swim diaper (if needed), and a towel are all you need! Swim caps are not required, and goggles are optional.
Is there a changing area?
Both the Hackley and Masters pools have locker rooms to change in.
Do parents get in the water?
There are seats on the pool deck for parents and caregivers to observe the class and, if a child is especially anxious, they can move closer to the pool. Parents and caregivers do not get in the water with the swimmers.
Can I drop off my child and pick them up after the lesson is over?
No, a parent or caregiver must be on site throughout the lesson.
What temperature is the water in the pool?
The Hackley pool is 82-83 degrees, and the Masters pool is 82-83 degrees.
What is your swimmer to instructor ratio?
Our lessons have a maximum of 3 swimmers to 1 instructor. Lower than most, if not all, of other programs in the area!
How long are lessons?
Our Introduction to Water Skills and Fundamental classes are a half hour, and our Pre-Competitive class is 45 minutes.
What if my child misses a class?
Due to our small class sizes and limited pool availability, we cannot offer make ups for missed classes. We only schedule make up classes if we have to cancel a class for some reason.
Do you offer sibling discounts?
No, due to our small class sizes and low swimmer to instructor ratio, we do not offer sibling discounts.
Do you offer private lessons?
